Helping You Find Your Balance
I am a registered educational therapist with the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) Canada. My training through NILD Canada is evidence-based, effective, and is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association and The Feuerstein Institute. I am a lifelong learner. I actively seek professional development courses and training, attend seminars and conferences, and connect with other practitioners with various perspectives.
I see each student as an inherently capable person who wants to learn. Students need tools and support for their talents and potential to blossom. I meet a student's current ability and we progress toward higher performance. At the same time, I ensure that students experience success in each session in order to build their self-confidence. While learning can be challenging, it can also be fun, positive, and intrinsically rewarding.
Learning how to learn equips a person for life. The speed at which a person learns matters less in the long run; it is with progress, resilience, and desire that a person moves forward. I am here to provide tools and support every step of the way. Struggling students who persevere can transform into confident and independent learners and thinkers.
